The Xmas cheer is well and truly creeping back into our lives one candy cane - or Christmas event - at a time.
The man, the myth, the legend. Denis Walter is back for the annual and free Christmas event, Denis Walter’s Carols by the Bay.
This iconic event, which started in 1997 and has brought the Christmas Spirit to Geelong for decades, will take place at Eastern Beach Reserve, Geelong on Saturday, December 3 from 8pm, with pre-show entertainment from 7pm and an appearance from The Geelong Concert Band from 5.30pm to 6.15pm.

Hailed as one of Victoria’s most iconic voices, with a successful radio career on 3AW and a decorated singing career with his incredible baritone voice giving Australians spine-tingles every Christmas Eve at the annual Carols by Candlelight concert, Walters will represent his hometown of Geelong with the return of this beloved event.
The 2022 Community Care Chemist Carols By The Bay encourages locals to sing along to their favourite carols, being performed by some of our region’s most talented artists, as well as some notable Australian performers, with a magnificent fireworks display to end the evening (at approximately 9.15pm). Bring your picnic blanket and sit at Eastern Beach, watch the sunset, and enjoy the festivities of this free concert with friends, family and little ones.
