Daylesford named one of the top 10 most welcoming cities in the world

Victoria’s spa capital has been named the fourth most welcoming destination in the world.

With mineral springs and the botanic countryside, Daylesford; regional Victoria’s go-to destination for rest and relaxation, has been named as one of the top ten most welcoming towns in the world.

Booking.com named the town in its 12th annual Traveller Review Awards list based over 309 million reviews, ranking the cities with the highest number of properties that received exceptional hospitality reviews.

Coming in at number four on the list, the regional destination was the only Australian spot to be recognised. Known for its natural mineral springs and historic countryside delight, Daylesford was beaten to number one by Viana do Castelo in Portugal, Ermoupoli in Greece and Arraial d’Ajuda in Brazil which took out the crown for the world’s very best.

This year’s lists of the Most Welcoming Places on Earth showcase a vast range of destinations from across the globe. From enchanting coastal towns to alpine retreats and even rustic desert gems, all of these locations are sure to ignite a sense of wanderlust for the year ahead.

Daylesford also has an abundance of local festivals throughout the year that showcase its charm and many colours, including ChillOut, Australia’s largest regional LGBTIQA+ pride festival held annually in March.”
