When Melbourne-via-Ballarat surf-pop outfit Crepes welcomed their debut EP Cold Summers last year, they deservedly received a good amount of attention.
Twelve months on and the band has coughed up new track, ‘Hidden Star’. Speaking with Fader, frontman Tim Karmouche said: “I decided to explore some different themes lyrically for the song. Instead of themes stemming from direct personal experiences, I decided to go for more of a narrative type approach. Thematically, it’s the story of two people being lost in different situations and finding guidance through the will to live.” The band hits Ballarat’s Karova Lounge tomorrow night, April 29.
