Laneway Festival has announced a lineup change for the 2024 edition of the Trans-Tasman touring festival.
Laneway Festival is shaking up its 2024 lineup with a thrilling addition: Grammy-nominated rapper Cordae.
The news follows the unfortunate cancellation of Suki Waterhouse’s performance due to personal reasons. While fans were eagerly anticipating Waterhouse’s appearance, the festival assures attendees that they’ll welcome her back with open arms in the future.
The festival organisers express their sentiments, stating, “We were so looking forward to having Suki Waterhouse along to Laneway Festival next year, but due to personal reasons, she can’t make the trip to Australia and New Zealand in February. We can’t wait to welcome Suki back to Laneway in the future when the timing is right. Until then, we wish her all the best and will keep her on repeat.”

Now, the spotlight shifts to Cordae, the 26-year-old rapper from North Carolina, who stands out as one of the most authentic storytellers of his generation. His 2019 debut album, “The Lost Boy,” propelled him to remarkable success, earning him Grammy nominations and gold-certified singles. Collaborating with the likes of Anderson .Paak, Chance The Rapper, and Pusha T, Cordae’s lyrical prowess places him at the forefront of the hip-hop scene.

In 2022, Cordae released his sophomore album, “From A Bird’s Eye View,” featuring standout collaborations with Freddie Gibbs and Lil Wayne. Adding to his accolades, Cordae won an Emmy for his musical contributions to the Netflix series “We The People,” co-produced by Barack and Michelle Obama. With three stand-alone singles in 2023 and a North American tour with NF, Cordae’s star continues to rise, marking his return to Australia after a four-year hiatus at Laneway Festival 2024.
The festival, known for its exclusive and diverse lineup, has nearly sold out its sideshows, making Laneway Festival 2024 a must-attend event for fans.
The full lineup includes Stormzy, Steve Lacy, Dominic Fike, AJ Tracey, Angie McMahon, Confidence Man, and more. The festival will traverse Brisbane, Sydney, Auckland, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Perth from February 3rd to 11th, 2024.
