Who doesn’t love free stuff? If you raised your hand, clearly you hadn’t heard of The Classics, a series of free music events held across the City of Stonnington.
Here’s the run down:
Opera: February 6 at Victoria Gardens, Prahran
An all-star cast with some of Australia’s finest opera singers will be lead by the highly respected artistic director Suzanne Chaundy for Mozart’s Magic by Moonlight.
Broadway: February 13 at Ardrie Park, Malvern East
Directed by Gary Young, triple-threat stars including Rhonda Burchmore, Silvie Paladino and Kane Alexander will take to the stage in Ardrie Park, Malvern East. Friends and families can enjoy all the musical theatre classics in ‘Lullaby of Broadway – a Celebration of Great Broadway Composers’.
Symphony: February 27 at Malvern Gardens, Malvern
The Stonnington Symphony and Ella Hooper will take to the stage for a sunset-lit finale of the The Classics series. Directed by Roy Theaker, it’s set to be a night worth heading along to and celebrating the free yearly events.
Oh, did we mention all the events are 100% free?
