Cheers to that, Geelong’s very first Gin Club has officially landed

Gin-ers are grinners with Black Sheep!

There’s a lot of great gin distilleries in Victoria, but if there’s one place destined to be our new gin capital, it’s gotta be Geelong. Yes, we might be biased because we absolutely love this town and everything about it, but there’s more to it than that thanks to one of Geelong’s newest venues, Black Sheep.

Tucked away in the very heart of the National Wool Museum, Black Sheep is kind of like an Aladdin’s cave of gins. Taking over the ground level space previously housing Denny’s Kitchen, this magical wonderland will bring you everything a laneway gin bar could, showcasing a healthy stock of Geelong’s finest boutique gins and really shining a light on what’s being created on our doorstep.

And now Black Sheep has given us one more reason to get around the magical spirit with their very own Gin Club.

In a very first for Geelong, this is a club for the gin fanatics. Whether you like it with tonic, mix it with fruit, or shake it up in a cocktail, the Gin Club don’t judge – they’re just here to deliver all the perks.

Not only will you have bragging rights about being a part of your very own Gin Club (great ice breaker at your next family dinner), but members all receive 10% off their entire Black Sheep bill from Wednesday to Friday where nothing is off-limits (the food is equally as brilliant as the gin, take a look here), and on your fifth night out at the venue, members will score one of their Gin Tasting Paddles with five local gins to try from their esteemed ‘Chamber of Gin’.

From the new Cherry Gin from Anther Spirits, the aged gin from The Bellarine Distillery, or the pinot gin from Flowstate Brewers & Distillers, these delicious botanical spirits will have you begging for more.

But wait, the perks don’t stop there. For those really wanting to go all in on the gin-loving experience, Black Sheep are also offering Gin Club members free room hire for functions, VIP Booth Priority seating, and exclusive pre-sale notifications of Black Sheep and Chamber of Gun events and specials.

Yes, yes and yes!

The best part, however – yes even better than the free gin – is that becoming a member won’t consider you a single dime. It’s completely free. All you have to do is sign up via the website and hand over your name, email and phone number. It’s the bloody simple.

And like all good clubs, you’ll even be given a Gin Club card upon your first visit to Black Sheep.

You can sign up for Gin Club here.
