For those that don’t really want to wind up drinking passion pop on somebody’s floor and eating chips out of the bag, Piano Bar has you sorted.
There’s nothing worse than getting to the day before New Year’s Eve and realising you don’t have a single iota of how you’re going to bring in the New Year. That’s where the good humans at Victoria’s dedicated Piano Bar come in; they’ve organised everything for you at a tidy price and at five extremely picturesque venues across the region – yes five! Who needs to get stuck at the supermarket thinking of the ingredients to a Pina Colada or watching the fireworks from the couch when you’ve got tickets to an event by renowned party-starters.
Bringing along the unparalleled atmosphere that only a piano bar delivers, Piano Bar will be celebrating NYE with events in Geelong, Colac, Ballarat, Bendigo and Portarlington.
The main event is of course Geelong’s ‘Piano Bar on The Pier’, a sell-out event each and every year. Prepare to sing at the top of your lungs to all those guilty pleasures and make friendships for life (or even just the night) with entertainment by Piano Bar’s local legend Andy Popjoy and Shandelle Cooke, plus your favourite drag queens Jemima Handful and Rubi Taboo.
Doors are at 7:30pm and the show set for 8pm, providing you hours to dance like nobody’s watching, sing to all your favourite classics and soak up the stunning view of the Geelong City skyline as you bring in 2023 with a bang (you’ll also have a front-row seat to Geelong’s firework display).
Tickets are on sale now here for $89 and includes canapes, antipasto grazing platters. All patrons must be 18+ to attend. We know you know already but strictly no thongs, baseball caps or singlets. It’s all about the class this New Years.

If you’re looking for something a little more low-key, Piano Bar will also be hosting NYE parties at their beloved venues in Geelong, Bendigo and Ballarat.
Extraordinary pianists Joss Russell, Trevor Jones, and Dave Van Elst, and vocalists Kara Ciezki, Dani Fry, and Bec O’Sullivan will be taking your requests all night long across the venues, alongside pop up shows from the likes of Polly Filla and Amanduh, Gabriella Labucci and Holly Pop, and Pashion Couture and Lynnduh throughout the night.
There will be canapes throughout the night with drinks are at bar prices, doors open at 7pm and you’ll be dancing right through until 1am.
