Castlemaine's annual talent contest is back with local singers, live bands, famous judges, food and a bar.
Castlemaine Idyll is Castlemaine’s ultimate annual talent contest returns for 2023 on Saturday March 18 from 2pm – 8pm.
A competition like no other, one that’s been running for over 12 years, this talent quest features all the hottest local talent, a hugely talented professional band, celebrity judges and a community uniting joyously in support.

With the theme this year being Shine, Castlemaine Idyll is not only a bunch of fun but also the annual fundraiser for lot19 artspace.
A competition like no other, spectators can expect brilliant singing and performances by local legends, and legends in the making. Each contestant will have a professional band to back them, and, as always, a crowd full of enthusiastic supporters in the audience.
A host of MainFM presenters will be there to cover the action during an epic live broadcast.
Castlemaine Idyll is held at lot19 Art Space – a not-for-profit creative space and events venue committed to supporting local talent and the Mount Alexander Community. Castlemaine Idyll is an uplifting, collaborative community event which brings joy and connection to a wide cross section of our community.
