Ladies and gentlemen, pack up your hot rods and hot rollers, your best zoot suits and frocks and get ready for the Camperdown Cruise Rockabilly Festival!
It’s Australia’s biggest Rockabilly celebration, and it’s only getting bigger! Held in the historic town of Camperdown Victoria with the major sponsor from the USA “DEADHEADRUM”. Come and meet the team from Deadhead Rum and join in the Deadhead Rum Tiki Party.
Attracting in excess of 10,000 patrons, its popularity shows no sign of diminishing, with more and more audience joining us every year to Rock and Roll to some of the world’s best rockabilly bands.
Rockabilly King Productions are the sole promoters in Australia of extremely popular American recording artists from the “WILD Records” label, and their presence at our festivals are a huge draw card, but joining them are artists from all over the world, including – France, USA, New Zealand and all over Australia, bringing together the cream of the crop of rockabilly for every festival.
With over 30 bands playing on 6 stages for an entire weekend, our presence on the world stage is rapidly growing and it is fast becoming one of the greatest and most popular Rockabilly festivals people have the opportunity to attend.
Our festival attracts enthusiastic patrons from all over Australia and the world, due to the large number of international acts we provide, and will only grow in size and number.
But it’s not just the bands that will amaze and entertain you. Camperdown has a classic car show that involves well over 500 cars for you to peruse, as well as rock ‘n’ roll dance demonstrations and classes and a tiki tiki lounge for relaxing.
A popular feature is Glamour Central– an area where lovely ladies can relax, shop for luxurious lingerie whilst sipping champagne and have their hair, make-up and photos done. Also introducing Baby Betty for the little ones
There is also a huge Burlesque and variety show in the beautifully restored theatre, featuring gorgeous crooners, comedy segments and traditional burlesque to titillate, amuse and entertain.
We have a ‘Best dressed’ competition, fashion parades and are proud to introduce ‘Miss Camperdown Cruise’ – Pin-up competition and Rock and Roll dance competition With over 100 trade stalls galore you’re sure to find that perfect shirt or dress, and food vendors to keep your bellies full, it’s a guaranteed brilliant time!
