Bumble are teaming up with the AFL for the ultimate first date

Some of you single and ready to mingle readers might of heard of Bumble, the female-first social networking app that creates a safe place for connections in dating, friendships and business.
Well we have great news for you… Bumble has announced it is the newest partner of the 2018 AFL Grand Final, and one lucky Australian Bumble Date user will have the chance to take someone they have matched with in the app on the first date of a lifetime (you must have matched within the last 3 months).
From now till the closing date of September 10, users around Australia can match with the “2018 AFL Grand Final” card within the Bumble app for the opportunity to win the first date package of their dreams. The winning couple will receive return flights to Melbourne, lunch at Nobu in Crown, car transfers to the game, drinks in the MCG Members Bar and two of the best seats in the house to the 2018 AFL Grand Final.
As the fastest growing dating app in the US, Bumble has amassed nearly 40 million users globally, resulting in over 650 million women-led first moves, and over 1 billion messages sent. Australia is one of the largest and fastest growing regions for Bumble, with over 1 million downloads generated to date.

Michelle Battersby, Bumble’s Country Lead for Australia, said “At Bumble we have been huge fans of the AFL for some time and admire their commitment to increasing opportunities for women in sport. We’re excited to begin our partnership by offering our users the incredible opportunity to attend the 2018 AFL Grand Final and look forward to our two organisations working together further in the future.”
Bumble was founded by Whitney Wolfe-Herd, on the core values of kindness, respect and empowerment, and is on a global mission to promote equality and put an end to gender bias, economic inequality, sexual assault, harassment and hate speech. Bumble has lifted the stigma of online dating by putting women in control of the conversation. On Bumble, women always make the first move.
The Bumble and 2018 AFL Grand Final competition is live within the Bumble app from today, Monday 27 August 2018, and is open to entries nationally. The competition will close on Monday 10 September 2018, with the winner announced on 12 September 2018.
