Alister Turrill & the Vagabond Brothers kicked off their Workers Club residency last night – were you there? They have a couple more shows coming up at the Geelong haunt, on September 23 (with Sean Patrick) and September 30 (with Rach Brennan), to which you can make amends.
Alister won the 2011 ‘Melbourne Youth in Blues’ award and has supported the likes of Charlie Parr, Ash Grunwald, Kim Churchill, Steve Smyth, Tim Freedman and Shane Howard. This year he recruited Toby Johnson and Jaron Mulholland for Alister Turrill & the Vagabond Brothers. If you’re unfamiliar with the band, check out single ‘Road to the Grave’.
