Boo Seeka announces 2022 Australian album tour

Boo Seeka is hitting the road this August - October for his upcoming Between The Head & The Heart Album Tour.

Electro-pop artist Boo Seeka has just announced his “Between The Head & The Heart Tour”, presented by Untitled Group.

He will be heading back on the road this August/September in celebration of his latest album, playing it all around the country for the first time.

Keep up with the latest music news, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

Gold Coast-based Boo Seeka has become a staple of the Australian live scene. A combination of pulsating sounds that bed down layered textures of electronic bass and percussive beats.

Melting into artists like Billie Eilish, Moby, Massive Attack and Glass Animals during the writing process, Boo Seeka’s second album Between The Head & The Heart is nothing short of chilled whimsy and multifaceted meaning.

“My album, Between The Head and the Heart, is twelve separate messages that I wrote throughout the COVID period. I really needed to do this for myself, and it has undoubtedly helped me get through the last 12 months. I never want to give away the exact message or meaning of why I wrote a song, firstly, because some things are incredibly specific and personal, but
mainly, I love the idea of a listener creating their own meaning to the track. That’s the most important thing about art and music to me.”

Working alongside producer Matt Bartlem for Between The Head & The Heart as well as input via Jay Bainbridge, Hayden James, Luke Palmer and Ian Peres throughout the album, the end result for Boo is one remarkably driven by finesse and introspection, as Boo elaborates, “This record is the most personal record I’ve written to date. I had another record written before this but it didn’t feel like it was the right one to release at this time in my life, so I wrote another one. While writing this one, I basically stood in front of a mirror and spoke to myself. That is the best way I can describe what it’s all about.”

The new album, which has accumulated almost 2 million album streams, was released following a feature on Hayden James’ record, ‘Free’.

Since breaking out in 2015 with his debut hit ‘Kingdom Leader’, which has since accumulated over 17 million streams, Boo has dominated national consciousness and for good reason.

Boo Seeka’s 2017 debut album ‘Never Too Soon’ was met with global acclaim with triple j describing the record as a “beautifully crafted, worldly-sounding body of work”. The album debuted at #8 on the ARIA album charts and earned the home-grown hero coveted spots on esteemed festival lineups Beyond The Valley, Groovin The Moo and Splendour In The Grass as well as selling out numerous headline tours across Australia, North America and Europe.

This tour will be nothing short of magic. Joining Boo Seeka will be special guest Sumner.
