Budget airline Bonza has added Coolangatta to its list of destinations for the summer holidays.
Good news holiday lovers, your hot summer getaways just got a lot closer with Aussie airline Bonza adding Coolangatta to its list of destinations, offering you an exciting – and possibly cheaper – option to explore the stunning Gold Coast.
Having already established its headquarters in Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast, the ambitious Bonza is now spreading its wings further, making Coolangatta its third home base. Starting from November, Bonza’s distinctive purple and white passenger jets will service 11 routes, including the popular Avalon and eight previously unserviced destinations, operating out of Gold Coast Airport.

CEO Tim Jordan expressed his excitement about the move, stating that it will not only boost the economy but also enable people from Bonza’s existing destinations to book affordable flights to the Gold Coast, allowing them to enjoy a well-deserved holiday or visit loved ones.
Bonza entered the market in February, operating flights between Avalon and the Sunshine Coast three times a week, and will soon add a fourth weekly flight to meet demand. Now, with Gold Coast in their sights, Bonza is poised to make the season brighter for travelers.
Fares for the new Gold Coast route are expected to go on sale soon, starting at an affordable price of $79. If you’re ready to explore the stunning beaches and vibrant atmosphere of the Gold Coast, Bonza’s got you covered!
In addition to providing an exciting new destination for Aussie travelers, Bonza is expanding its network by connecting existing Bonza destinations with the Gold Coast and Northern NSW.
Bonza will operate two aircraft from Gold Coast Airport just in time for the summer holidays, making it even easier for you to plan your perfect getaway. Currently, Jetstar offers seven weekly flights between Avalon and Coolangatta, but with Bonza’s entrance, passengers will have more choices and potential savings when planning their trips.
