A world wide event held across May 27-30, the Blues for Peace project is for those who want to make a difference.
Created by New York Blues Hall of Fame member Michael Packer and sanctioned by the United Nations, the Blues for Peace project has partnered with USA for UNHCR, an organisation which helps to save, protect and rebuild the lives of millions of refugees. Today, UNHCR employs more than 8600 staff in 125 countries.
Locally, an event will take place at The Loft, Warrnambool tomorrow night, May 27. Luke Watt, The Mudcats, The Hipshot Blues Band and Big Walter and the Rhythm Shifters will be among the performers.
Proceeds will be donated to UNHCR.
