Formed in 1985 in Chicago, Illinois and now based in San Francisco, California, as of 2009, the Dwarves is the second incarnation of the 80’s garage rock outfit Suburban Nightmare. From their earlier on-stage antics of self-mutilation, on-stage sex, and taking hard drug, that would result in 15 minute sets, cut short by injury caused by riled-up spectators, the band have evolved but are still hyped as the ‘last punk band’ for their attitude, animalistic energy and hardest hitting sound.

With a whopping sixteen albums to their name, the band are in Australia celebrating their latest release, Keep It Reel, which continues their trajectory as one of the most definitive punk bands.

An acoustic show from Blag Dahlia is not unheard of the for the frontman who has released two book. He called the routine his “camp counselor guy routine”, taming the punk power for what is set to be a fun, singalong show.

Head along after school or knock off early from work to Popcultcha Records today to see the frontman up close and personal before their high-octane show tonight at Torquay Hotel. Find out more about Popcultcha Records here.
