Big Hit Polo Ball

Polo may be something that you only see in the movies, but a number of Geelong polo champs are banding together to help a good cause. The event brings together Geelong’s polo champs and local businesses all for the children’s charity, The Smith Family, on August 7.
The fundraising aspect of the night will be an auction, where the polo stars are “auctioned off”. Also attending on the night will be Winners and Losers and Blueheelers actress Sarah Grace. The Smith Family helps over 750 disadvantaged youth in the Geelong region and hopes to one day break the cycle.
“Our sport may be associated with glamour, champagne and horse power but polo is also about teamwork and looking out for each other, and the clubs of the Surf Coast recognise that we have a role to play in helping the next generation,” says organiser Michael Lawrence.
“By donating 100 per cent of the proceeds from the Big Hit Polo Ball to The Smith Family’s Winter Appeal we hope to make a real difference, as well as add an exciting new fundraising and networking event to the Geelong social calendar. This social event is also a prelude to an, Australia Day polo match in Geelong to raise further funds for The Smith Family”
