I feel it in my fingers. I feel it in my toes. Beer is all around me, and so the feeling grows. The Bendigo Craft Beer & Cider Festival is on its way to town with a truckload of brews from around Australia. And with the popularity of the craft beer world showing no signs of slowing down, this is a fantastic opportunity to see what all the fuss is about.
Some 25 breweries will be represented, each serving up a small number of their specialities. This will include varieties you are familiar with, as well as oneoff brews. What is great about events such as this is that you can chat away with the brewers. If you have a question or two, ask away.
Now, for those unfamiliar with such events, the BCBF runs on a token system. This simply means you purchase tokens and use them as currency. This includes food purchases. Yep, there will be plenty of delicious grub there as well. You have a drink in one hand, a bite to eat in the other. Now all you need is music, and Grim Fawkner will be among those providing tunes. Born Tané EmiaMoore, Grim is a multi-
genre performer who describes himself as an “itinerant minstrel”.
