Bendigo Comedy Festival: Mike Elliot

Mike Elliott returns to the Bendigo Comedy Festival in a new show.

People Person is full of sketches, stories and a bottomless barrel of musical ear candy. Think of it like the favourite thing your Nanna made.

Whether he’s singing an ode to Bunnings Snags or lamenting his Nanna’s pavlova (Nan’s Pav), Mike Elliott has one goal, to make sure people have a good time.

Mike is a brilliant natural comic, amiable musician and writer. Shortly after starting the satirical news site The Bendigo Standard he caught the attention of Bendigo locals who shared articles with him unknowingly he was a writer.

He also has a guitar. The songs he plays are very good and performed in the key of G, D and sometimes in E. His music is inspired by the works of Flight of the Conchords, Demetri Martin, Tripod and “Weird Al” Yankovic.

In 2018 Mike performed his first solo show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival  His performance earned him a 4-star review where he was quoted as “the next big thing” (The Theatre People). His song-a-month has earned him loyal fans online.

Grab some tickets for a great night out. It’s totes good.
