Beck joins the Bluesfest 2023 lineup

The eight-time Grammy winner will appear at Bluesfest for the first time ever with an intimate and unique acoustic show.

Musical genius Beck is set to grace the stage for the first time next year at Bluesfest 2023, making him the 50th artist to be announced for the festival, held over the Easter long weekend in Byron Bay.

Beck will play an intimate and unique acoustic show, which has earned rave reviews from key publications around the world.

Since Beck emerged as a reluctant generational spokesperson when “Loser” exploded from a rejected 1992 demo into a ubiquitous 1994 smash, his career has explored all genres and eras of music, blurred boundaries and blazed a path into the future while foraging through the past.

“We are hugely excited to be presenting BECK, making his Bluesfest debut with a unique acoustic performance,” says Bluesfest director Peter Noble OAM.

“We have already announced 49 artists for our 34th Bluesfest, and BECK makes it 50! His acoustic set will certainly provide an avant-garde element to our already amazing lineup.

“For the first time since 2019, Bluesfest is free and unencumbered to showcase the finest genres of music from all over the globe, and BECK is the true personification of this.”

Beck join a massive 49 acts already announced for the 2023 lineup, including the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, GZA, Lucinda Williams, Counting Crows, The Doobie Brothers, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Gang of Youths, Marcus King, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Joe Bonamassa and more.

Since last year, Bluesfest has invested over $500k upgrading and waterproofing the Bluesfest site, with upgrades to the VIP area to raise the experience to new heights.

Ticket pricing for general admin have been kept at the same price as the 2022 run of the event for the time being.

“A five-day season ticket at Bluesfest can be a life changing experience, and with our site improvements, stunning line up and improved food and beverage suppliers, five days is the way to go.”

Bluesfest will take place over 5 days from Thursday 6th to Monday 10th April 2023 at the Byron Events Farm, Tyagarah, NSW. All 5-Day Season tickets, including festival entry, camping & add-ons, parking and VIP are on sale now via the Bluesfest website.
