Geelong drive-through coffee business Bean Squeeze have been making our dreams a reality and our lives a lot easier over the past 14 years.
Boasting quality coffee, good food, friendly faces and super fast service, Bean Squeeze was born from the distaste in having to find a car park in a crowded spot, then standing around in a packed coffee shop every day for a morning caffeine hit.
Since opening the first Bean Squeeze store on Mercer Street in March 2006, the team have been delivering an energy boost for the tired worker in peak hour traffic, daily morning caffeine hits, a quick break for those on a long journey, and a moment of serenity for the parent with the screaming child in the back.
Becoming part of our daily routine ever since, the Bean Squeeze crew have gone on to open eight more stores in and around central Geelong, even adding in a kitchen facility to allow for the sale of delicious on-the-go food options.
And now they’ve just added one more, taking their total to 10 stores across the Geelong region and ensuring their customers are back on the road within a minute or two.
Opening today, Tuesday, May 5, coffee lovers will find the new store in Bell Park at the well known 2-4 Anakie Road (corner of Anakie & Ballarat Roads). With stores scattered across the region, this new store is going to be an absolute blessing for the local Bell Park community and the many drivers who travel or commute using Anakie Road and Ballarat Road.
On the shared site with Wizard Car Wash, the new premises, which were previously operated by another drive-thru business, has undergone a complete refurbishment, adding space for walk-up customers also – and it looks pretty bloody schmick if you ask us.
“While current COVID-19 restrictions remain in place, we’ve adapted operations in line with current guidelines to continue to operate safely,” says Stacey Whiteford, Communications & Marketing Manager at Bean Squeeze. “We’ve strengthened our already rigorous standards in all stores as well as made other changes like going cashless to provide a near contactless experience for customers. While the current circumstance is not quite how we envisaged opening a new store, we’re excited to bring Bean Squeeze to another Geelong location.
“We’ve seen the Geelong community coming together to support each other and it’s been heartening to see people wanting to support local business at this time as well. People still want their daily cup of coffee, to be able to pick up food on their way to or from work or buy coffee and tea making essentials for home. We look forward to better serving the Bell Park community, helping locals keep some semblance of normality in their day, and doing it all with a smile.”
Alongside their perfectly brewed coffee, you’ll also find all the regular items on offer including juice, hot chocolate, salted caramel hot chocolate, chai lattes, smoothies, toasties, banana bread, muffins and even their choc hazelnut protein balls.
As they say, drive-thru, leave happier.
Bean Squeeze Ballarat Rd is open Monday-Friday from 5:30am to 5:30pm, Saturdays from 6:30am to 5pm, and Sundays from 7am to 4:30pm.
