BBQ, beers and vintage shopping means you must be at Garage Torquay

Words by Alice Ruby McDonald

Get the crew together on Saturday 29th for the vintage launch party at Garage Torquay

From the masterminds behind the Mill Market, Powerhouse Geelong and Garage Geelong, Torquay is the latest location for all your vintage finds and they’re kicking it off with a party next Saturday 29th January.

Setting up shop on Baines Crescent in Torquay (AKA factory outlet haven), this artsy-cool shop is quickly becoming one of the best spots to find a bunch of second-hand surf style and collectables.

Born out of generations of second hand trading, Garage Torquay has the surf coast sorted. With a passion for sustainability and an eye for ethical consumption, you’ll fit in around these converted shipping containers, vintage cars and classic buses.

Owners Ian and Hudson Ballis have seen such success with Garage Geelong, it was only right to bring the funky market to Torquay. Ian says “people love visiting and hunting through all the goods and reminiscing about the past.”

“I love seeing the delight that the market brings. I feel inspired to offer Torquay a retail space with a point of difference to share our love of vintage with the community and bring awareness to sustainable business.”

The Garage Torquay vintage launch party will be a family and dog friendly party with a BBQ, beers, face painting for the kids and plenty of decked out spaces to find your next vintage buy.
