Bad Bangs announce Geelong and Ballarat tour dates for the launch of their debut album

Melbourne garage-rockers Bad Bangs celebrate the launch of their debut album Character Building with a rescheduled regional Victorian tour.

Fresh from performing at the much-loved Boogie festival over Easter, Melbourne’s Bad Bangs have finally announced their rescheduled album tour dates for their regional run.

Dubbed the ‘Better May Than Never’ tour, the band will, at last, make their way to Geelong and Ballarat to celebrate the launch of their debut album Character Building, hitting the stage at The Eastern in Ballarat on May 28th, and Barwon Club Hotel in Geelong on May 27th with their signature ripping guitar solos, spine-tingling harmonies and tight as hell rhythm section.

The key takeaways

  • Bad Bangs announce rescheduled regional tour dates
  • They’ll be showing off their debut record at The Eastern in Ballarat and the Barwon Club in Geelong
  • Tickets are on sale now

Originally scheduled for January this year, the rescheduled dates will see Bad Bangs joined in Geelong by beloved local dream-pop power band Sirens and a surprise mystery guest. The Ballarat support will be from the formidable Robot Fox Jams (a very special solo performance from the man himself) and red hot Ballarat royalty Grove!

Released back in September 2021, Character Building embodies the quartet’s penchant for nuanced garage rock – a journey through scuzzed-out tones, clattering rhythms and tender, introspective lyricism.

Recorded by John Lee at Phaedra Studios in Coburg, the foursome unabashedly toes the line between sophistication and total chaos with their debut, the follow-up to their 2019 singles ‘Too Much’ and ‘Crush’ and their impressive first EP, Grow It Out in 2018.

With nods to the likes of The Murlocs, Cate Le Bon and Ty Segall, Character Building is the foursome’s sunny take on the rock of the garage persuasion and is not to be missed in the flesh this May.
