Aurelia drops her dreamy new single ‘America’

As lovers of new releases, we are absolutely loving Grammy Award nominated singer/songwriter Aurelia’s dreamy new single ‘America’.
After spending the last few years co-writing with other artists, and as a result scoring numerous US Billboard top 10 releases, cracking the Triple J Hottest 100, multiple American Blues Music Awards nominations and a nod from the Grammy board, the phenomenon that is ‘Aurelia’ is a multifaceted machine, that it would seem, is taking no prisoners with her old world calibre and new world shine.
She’s been busy this year, with the release of wistful sophomore single ‘Chest’ back in January following a debut release late last year.
Now, she’s back and she has really stepped it up with this track.
The intersection of Fiona Apple boss lady musicianship and Enya’s celestial plane of sonic magnificence are the closest coordinates for referencing this solo offering from Aurelia.
Listen to it below.

With a sound that is equal parts perennial nostalgia/cosmic effervescence, ‘America’ leaves the listener feeling as though their past and future selves are experiencing the track at the same time. It’s a weird feeling, but one we want to keep feeling time and time again.
This record is all heart, and no chains… With a gospel choir break down nod to Madonna that sings “Cherish Life”, and a Golden Era Hollywood string outro, ‘America’ is a 4 minute and 34 second hyper speed journey through a lifetime of wonder, yearning, breaking, healing, believing, searching, discovering, triumphing and ultimately arriving at a point of deep existential gratitude.
And grateful we are for this humble and majestic masterpiece that translates as somewhat of a sonic blueprint for Aurelia.
To celebrate, Aurelia has given us an American Women playlist! Check it out.
