To celebrate International Beer Day 2024 tomorrow on Friday 2 August, Ballarat's Aunty Jacks are giving away free beer for 1.5 hours.
Ballarat brewery, pub and restaurant, Aunty Jacks is celebrating International Beer Day 2024 in style tomorrow, offering their loyal community of beer drinkers 1.5 hours of free frothies.
Running from 4pm – 5.30pm (for early work knock-offs), Aunty Jacks welcomes in their friends to raise a pot for the golden hops. Their selection of award-winning craft beer will be flowing from the taps including their lager, session ale, pale ale, IPA, Marzen, Vanilla Porter and Saison.

International Beer Day is the global day of appreciation for beer as celebrated by breweries, pubs, in backyards and by beer drinkers across the world. First celebrated in August of 2008, International Beer Day is celebrated annually on the first Friday of August in over 200 cities globally. Whilst picked to coincide with the summer seasons of Europe and the States, International Beer Day in Australia comes at our coldest time of the year but that need not deter our countries beer-loving culture.
This year is an extremely important year for our craft beer community who have seen friends fall in recent times. Locally the closure of Sou’West Brewing in Torquay in June hit hard and the more recent announcement of Valhalla Brewing going into administration has rocked the community. If there is ever a time to head to a local brewery, throw your support behind them over an ice cold beverage, now is the time!
