Applications Open For Good Music Neighbours Program

Applications are officially open for the Good Music Neighbours program – an initiative that aims to support local music venues with generous grants for sound management.
With the third round of the Good Music Neighbours program opening, run by the Victorian Government, there are grants of $25,000 available per venue in matched funding.
Since this program begun more than 50 venues have invested over $500,000, this has a massive impact on small businesses and can provide a platform for emerging artists to tour the thriving music scene within Victoria.
The grant is used to assist venue to improve sound attenuation in venues which minimises the impact on surrounding homes and businesses.
Good Music Neighbours is part of the Andrews Labor Government’s $22 million four-year Music package, and has helped many venues with their sound needs including acoustic Assessments to major sound proofing works.
Recently 22 venues across Victoria received acoustic assessment funding, the important first step in the process of sound management for a venue and maintaining good relations within its community.
Applications can be made via the Creative Victoria Grants Portal from Thursday 29 March to Thursday 26 April, 5.00pm.
