Andre Pangrazio takes us on an aural expedition comprising thoughtful, complex soundscapes in his new three-part series

Titled Interpretations, the compilation reimagines three compositions for the guitar.

Melbourne-based guitarist, composer and multi-instrumentalist Andre Pangrazio, aka Andre Peter, has released a three-part series exploring the sonic textures of the guitar.

The compilation features reimaginations of Khyam Allami’s ‘Individuation’, Jozef van Wissems’ ‘Our Heats Condemn Us’ and ‘Hymn’ by Luke Howard.

While none of the three chosen compositions were written for the guitar, Pangrazio selected them to see how he could reinterpret the melodies to reflect the boundless sonic possibilities of the instrument as well as tying into his Italian heritage.

The resulting pieces are utterly personal, transforming the three tracks into something entirely separate from the original works while still paying homage to the beauty of the primary compositions.

An aural expedition comprising thoughtful, complex soundscapes, Interpretations is a testament to Pangrazio’s talent as a composer and instrumentalist.
