An intimate and up-close performance with Debra Byrne is coming to the Bellarine

Debra Byrne will perform alongside special guests Simon Phillips, Chris Paraha and Elvis Aljus.

After an amazing career as the leading lady on stage, on television and on film, Debra Byrne once again fulfils this dream, taking to the stage with an accompaniment of incredible musicians to deliver an unforgettable performance for audiences across the country.

With six very special dates – including on at Geelong’s Potato Shed – Debra will give music lovers an unforgettable opportunity to experience one of Australia’s great balladeers with some of Melbourne’s finest musicians, performing a selection of songs that have both beauty and soul.

Keep up with the latest music news, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

Describing the 90-minute show Debra said, “Our repertoire covers many genres all with our take, our style”.
“We like to tell a story through song, and I love to bring my theatrical experience to each moment. We perform the songs we adore, not all of the same genre, but mindful that we keep a flow that complements each song.”

Performing songs closest to her heart, Debra will be joined on stage by special guests Simon Phillips, Chris Paraha and Elvis Aljus.

On guitar will be Simon Phillips who has been described by Tommy Emmanuel as “a serious talent”. Simon is far from your typical guitarist, with a vast range of vocal melodies and using every limb in his body.

Elvis Aljus will take the reigns on percussion, having performed alongside and as a part of Kate Ceberano, Ross Wilson, Ross Hannaford’s Dianna Kiss, Daddy Cool, Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Nicky Bomba and many more, while Chris Paraha will be on bass. Chris was born NZ and moved to Perth to attend WAAPA and graduated in 1989 with a BMUS in Jazz Performance. He has played with, but not limited to the likes of Ross Wilson and The Peaceniks The Etta James Story Tapestry: The Carole King Show Russell Morris

This is not to be missed!

Debra Byrne will take to the Potato Shed in Geelong on Friday, April 8 2022. Tickets can be purchased here
