Heralded by critics worldwide, the first taste of Warm Chris came in the form of the singles ‘Lawn’ and ‘Fever’, and latest single ‘Tick Tock’. Recorded in Monmouth, Wales, it marks her third collaboration with producer John Parish, the 10-track disc also including contributions from H. Hawkline, Seb Rochford, Gavin Fitzjohn, John and Hopey Parish and Jason Williamson (Sleaford Mods).
Harding’s partnership with Parish first began five years ago, starting with 2017’s unforgettable Party, and 2019’s Designer. Aldous will be joined at all shows by Cardiff multi-instrumentalist and critically acclaimed solo artist H. Hawkline.
We reviewed one of her last Melbourne shows back in 2019 and described it thus: “Aldous Harding’s appeal lies in her mystique and her obscurity. You can’t define the New Zealand songwriter in a word, let along half a dozen and that only profits her inimitability. It was with great anticipation that she returned to Australia in the wake of her buoyant 2019 LP, Designer. Her two shows in the Arts Centre’s snug Playhouse Theatre sold out in minutes – a reflection of her resonance within Melbourne’s music community.”
Harding’s Melbourne performance is presented in partnership with ALWAYS LIVE, a state-wide celebration of contemporary live music supported by the Victorian Government through Visit Victoria.
