Melbourne’s soul diva Sarah C, ARIA chart sensation Greg Gould and internationally acclaimed songstress Melanie Lewin join forces to celebrate the Queen of Christmas.
Mariah Carey is one of the most successful (and one of the most talented) female musical artists in history. Even without her undisputed ‘Queen of Christmas’ status, she is truly an icon in pop and R&B music with hits like ‘We Belong Together’, ‘Always Be My Baby’ and ‘Fantasy’, to name but a few.
However, it’s Christmas where this star shines the most, earning her Christmas crown with the absolute classic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’, released in 1994 on her first Christmas album, Merry Christmas. At the time of the song’s release, she said, “I’m a very festive person, and I love the holidays. I’ve sung Christmas songs since I was a little girl. I used to go Christmas carolling.”

To celebrate the legacy of Mariah, Christmas and the entire festive season, three of Australia’s most exciting vocalists are joining forces to celebrate the highest-selling female artist of all time tonight with A Very Merry Mariah Carey Christmas.
Taking place on Friday, December 9 at Memo Music Hall in St Kilda, Melbourne’s soul diva Sarah C, ARIA chart sensation Greg Gould and internationally acclaimed songstress Melanie Lewin are coming together to present a two-hour concert experience featuring an all-star band and the incredible Mariah Choir – the Halo Vocal Ensemble.
The evening will be opened by Emily Jane Conidi from The Voice, promising to warm punters up for an incredible evening as the three stars perform the record breaking Merry Christmas album in its spectacular entirety with all the fabulous arrangements you know and love, including the iconic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’!, plus a selection of Mariah’s very best hits.
