Is there anything more wholesome than a weekend-long event dedicated to picking the crown jewel of flowers, the sunflower, all in the name of charity?

Following a sold-out weekend back in February, raising $4038 for charity, it’s happening all over again this weekend at 431 Bellarine Highway in Moolap/Leopold, where you’ll find a beautiful golden field of sprawling sunflowers, courtesy of local business Sprinkle To Season.
Running from 2pm to 6pm Saturday March 5, the public is invited to pick your own sunflowers ‘til your heart’s content for this encore fundraiser. It’s just $2 per stem with all proceeds going to the Royal Children’s Hospital.
You’ll need to bring your own secateurs/scissors and a bucket to carry your blooms in and remember to charge your phone so you can wander the fields and take all the selfies.
You’d be hard-pressed to find a more wholesome weekend activity than this.
