Meet Drencher Festival, a celebration of head crushing, pants wetting tsunami of hard-hitting music.

If you like your music to rattle your bones, then we have some good news for you.

Geelong is set to come alive in the heaviest way possible this August with the brand-new Drencher Festival.

In a type of homage to the Barwon Club Hotel, arguably the greatest regional venue of the Victorian live music scene, Drencher Festival will prove just why the BC has earned the reputation of an essential Aussie rock Pub with a huge and hard-hitting lineup of brilliant local and national touring acts.

Spreading across the venue stage of mayhem, this locally produced festival is set to raise the bar of local music thanks to extreme-metallers Nemesium’s vocalist, Clint Williams.

Curating what promises to be a night of ‘head crushing, pants wetting tsunami of hard-hitting music’, Drencher Festival had already announced three bands set to headline, including Melbourne death-thrash metallers Vexation, the aforementioned Geelong band Nemesium and Melbourne two-piece prog metal act The Archanan.

All heavy tastes will be catered for with more acts to be announced in the lead up to the festival, no doubt resulting in a no holds barred showcase of heavy tunes and will definitely satisfy anyone who wants to rattle their head and raise the horns.

It all goes down at the Barwon Club Hotel on Saturday, August 14. Keep up to date with the latest via the events page.
