A massive blues festival is taking over Barwon Club today with more than 10 acts

In a one-off, never to be repeated event, the Summertime Blues & Roots Festival is a celebration of the past, present and future of Geelong’s music scene with some of the best blues and roots acts in town.

More than 10 acts will take to the stage today (Sunday, January 15) at the Barwon Club in Geelong, with everything kicking off at 1pm.

Those performing have either grown up in Geelong or fostered their career through performances in town, the line up is; John Dallimore with Kenny Miller. Chris Wilson, Sarah Carroll, Wayne Jury, Brian Fraser, Blue Sunday with Marco Goldsmith, Craig Creswell, Ron Hilla, Sandy Oro, Buxom Blues with Kay Gibbons (me!) Lenny Keys, Ethan Farmer, Steve Minutoli, Derek & The Champs with Ian Wilson, Gary Quick, Peter Kure and Rod Hoe, Lounge Lizards with Bill van Parreren, Paul Brooke, Manny Blach, Lucy Fox & Johnny Ringo, Om & the Pea, Homesick Joe, Andrea Robertson, Kevin Hay and the fabulous Sean Patrick.
