Australia’s only medieval adventure park, Kryal Castle, is hosting a Witches and Wizards festival this June long weekend.
It’s time to service those broomsticks.
Promising a spellbinding adventure for all involved, the popular regional tourist attraction Kryal Castle in Ballarat is hosting a Witches and Wizards festival over the Queens Birthday long weekend.
Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around the region here.
Running across three days, from Saturday, June 11 to Monday, June 13 at the wondrous mythical, magical and medieval castle in Ballarat, ticket holders will be able to experience a fun-packed magical day for all ages at this inaugural event, with plans for it to turn into an annual affair.
There will be magicians roaming the grounds, a spell-casting school, wand making, live performances, a costume parade and a bunch of food trucks to fill those magical bellies. Guests will also find a jumping castle, take part in a unicorn meet and greet, get involved with a tarot card reading, or check out the live jousting, potion making and so much more.
Bringing a little magic to Ballarat, it’s said the festival is wanting to merge the folkloric, traditional side of witchcraft with the more commercial side of Harry Potter, appealing to a wide range of people.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm with tickets granting you access for the entire day. Prices start at $22 for kids aged 3-15, $28 for concessions and $35 for adults, with family passes available.
Attendees are also encouraged to don their best magical-themed outfit, and thankfully, both muggles and wizards are welcome.
