A live music venue in Bendigo facing closure needs your help

The Musicman Megastore in Bendigo has been a home for nurturing future talent, heavier rock and metal shows and everything in between. However, in the difficult climate of live music, the venue is under hard times and needs to raise $21k to continue operating for five years – or it’s doors closed.

Venue owner, and passionate music lover, Paul Tzountzourkas, took to social media to break the news to fans and regulars of the space.

There will be a ‘Do or Die’ fundraiser weekend of gigs on September 30 and October 1. This will be the last chance for the venue to raise funds to continue on, and they are currently looking for bands to fill the slots.

Musicman also has a GoFundMe page set up to try and raise the $21k.

Local musicians and others who have performed at the venue are rallying behind the cause. The venue has quickly become the heart for many for live music in Bendigo at 264 Hargreaves Street.
