The NBA-themed exhibition showcasing the lifestyle, culture and history of the NBA will head to the District Docklands in Melbourne this April.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has unveiled plans to bring its immersive fan experience, “The NBA Exhibition,” to Melbourne’s The District Docklands on April 3rd, promising an unforgettable showcase of NBA lifestyle, culture, and history.

Following its successful debut in Brisbane last September, the exhibition will bid farewell to Brisbane on March 3rd before making its grand entrance into Melbourne.

The NBA Exhibition isn’t just a run-of-the-mill showcase; it’s a fully interactive journey designed to captivate fans of all ages. Spanning across 20 thematic sections, visitors will be treated to a plethora of customised activations, including virtual and augmented reality experiences, opportunities for photos with the prestigious Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, and much more.

Stepping into the expansive 1,100 square metre venue, attendees will find themselves engulfed in a multi-sensory NBA experience. From testing basketball skills to measuring vertical jumps and reflexes, there’s something for everyone. Highlights include an augmented reality photo booth for snaps with NBA players, the “Slam Dunk Selfie” for picture-perfect dunks, and “Measure Up!” featuring shoe and handprints of NBA stars.

Moreover, guests can delve into a dedicated section celebrating Australian NBA players, alongside original artwork by Australian and First Nations artists, originally showcased at the NBA Gallery in Sydney back in 2022.
