A guide to all the free entertainment happening at Geelong’s Festival of Sails 2023

The 2023 Festival of Sails is going to be home to a swathe of free entertainment and activities on the Geelong Waterfront for four days.

While Geelong’s iconic Festival of Sails has long been known for its exciting action on the water, it’s also become a favourite entertainment destination over the traditional January 26 holiday break. Running from Thursday, 26 January to Sunday, 29 January 2023 and celebrating its 180th-anniversary milestone this January, the entertainment lineup has been reinvented to appeal to a more diverse local and visiting audience with 30 incredible acts across three stages. And it’s free!

It’s absolutely huge!!! To help make the most of the weekend of all this fabulous entertainment, we’ve listed it all below! Go forth and enjoy!

Keep up with the latest in local news and entertainment here.

A big part of the entertainment this year (and every year) is found in The Regatta Village, inside the Royal Geelong Yacht Club grounds – where attendees enjoy the festivities well into the night. Although access is unrestricted during the day, entry to the Regatta Village after 5pm requires a valid wristband. Wristbands are free of charge but due to space are limited in number so book early and call into the club to collect your wristbands. Or simply head here.
