Enjoy the dreamy, soul-lifting string-quartet renditions of your favourite Taylor Swift songs by candlelight this April.
With ballads about finding love, confessionals about losing love, telling her haters in the media and industry to shove off across country-tinged early albums, the glittering synth-pop ‘1989’ and the experimental sounds of ‘Reputation’, Taylor Swift has been an unwavering force within the music industry in the last decade-and-a-half. She’s undoubtedly one of the greatest pop stars in the world – and she’s got the fans, the discography and the awards to prove it.
Taylor Swift is an artist who’s constantly reinvented her sound while maintaining the sheer songwriting talent and authenticity that has made her the star she is today.
Now Geelong Swifty fans (anyone eight years and older) will have the opportunity to witness dreamy string-quartet renditions of her gorgeous jewels, mini-masterpieces of guilty, envy, and desire when Candlelight Geelong: Tribute to Taylor Swift comes to town this April.

Following a successful run of candlelight concerts in the region which paid tribute to Mozart and Vivaldi as well as to the wonder and magic of famous film scores created by Hans Zimmer, John Williams and more, this Taylor-Swift inspired candlelit experience will take to the stunning surrounds of the Geelong Botanic Gardens, illuminating the outdoor garden for a spectacular evening of music beneath the stars on Thursday, April 21 for two performances, at 6:30pm and 8:30pm.
Invictus Quartet, a string quartet ensemble, will perform 12 of Tay-Tay’s dreamy faves including ‘You Belong With Me’, ‘Love Story’, ‘Invisible String’, ‘All Too Well’ (10-min version please!), ‘Wildest Dreams’, ‘Lover and Cardigan’, as well as some more up-tempo Swifty tracks including ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’, ‘Blank Space’ and ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ all while surrounded by candlelight.
You probably already know every word of these catchy songs, but with this concert’s sublime performance and stunning atmosphere, you’ll feel as if you’re listening to them for the first time.
The evening will consist of two back-to-back 60-65 minute performances. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each show and no late entry is permitted. Please note that for the safety of the audience and performers, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.
