Following the open-air candlelight concerts in Geelong last year, now Geelong music lovers can discover the music of Hans Zimmer and more at Geelong West Town Hall under the gentle glow of candlelight this September.

On Saturday, September 24, you can relive many of the moments from your favourite films at Candlelight: Hans Zimmer’s Best works and experience the music of one of film history’s most prolific composers.

Surrounded by the gentle glow of candlelight, the Invictus Quartet, a string quartet ensemble, will perform the likes of ‘Time’ from Inception, ‘Hedwig’s Theme’ from Harry Potter, ‘Cornfield Chase’ from Interstellar, ‘Star Wars Medley’ from Star Wars, plus a number of favourites from The Lion King. You’ll also hear ‘Pirates of the Caribbean Medley’, ‘The Lord of the Rings Medley’ and ‘Braveheart Main Theme’, among others.

No doubt these tracks will sound familiar, as they give life to some of the most iconic movies. Still, with this concert’s sublime performance and stunning atmosphere, you’ll feel as if you’re listening to them for the first time.

The evening will consist of two back-to-back 60-65 minute performances, one at 6:30pm and one at 8:30pm. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each show and no late entry is permitted.

It all goes down at the Geelong West Town Hall on Saturday, September 24. Find out more here
