Victoria is set to get a dose of some of Australia’s most prominent musicians this year, as the new tour ‘Sing A Song of Sixpence’ heads through some of its more diverse areas this year, further injecting life back into a recovering live music scene after a crippling year for the industry.
Presented by Melbourne based singer-songwriter Delsinki, the tour brings the tradition of a writer’s round to audiences, with the likes of Mick Thomas, Debra Byrne, Bachelor Girl, Abby Dobson, Freya Josephine Hollick, Grim Fawkner and many more coming together to take part in the unique concert.

Across 15 dates, a different mix of these artists will share the bare bones of their songs and the stories behind them. In an intimate and informal setting, the concerts become both poignant and unpredictable with audiences gaining an insight into the process and the magic, and feel closer to the songs produced as a result.
Previously, ‘Sing A Song Of Sixpence’ was a fortnightly concert series at Melbourne’s Memo Music Hall, with different songwriters performing and showcasing their material whilst being accompanied by different instrumentalists.
Taking on the same format, the musicians touring regional Victoria as part of the tour will also be accompanied by esteemed instrumentalists including Cameron McKenzie (Mark Seymoure & The Undertow), Justin Brady (Things of Stone & Wood), John Kendall (Row Jerry Crow), James Macaulay (The Lagerphones) and Lee Spence.
Bringing the unique and entertaining heartfelt touring experience to music lovers across regional Victoria, the tour will kick off on Friday, August 6 at the Potato Shed in Geelong, and travel through Tallarook, Marysville, Bendigo, Main Ridge, Archie Creek, Swan Hill, Watchem, Jeparit, St Kilda, Terang, and Hamilton, before finishing up at Port Fairy (as part of the Port Fairy Folk Festival mini-concert series, and Birregurra on Saturday, August 28.
