Lapee, the world's first ready-to-use female urinal for festivals and outdoor events, is elevating the festival experience for women at Pitch.
Set to run from March 8 to 12 2024 at the foothills of the Grampian Plains, Pitch offers four wild says of non-stop dancing and impeccable vibes, with year’s lineup will be fronted by legendary German artist Gerd Janson, Berlin techno-house DJ Patrick Mason, French techno producer I Hate Models, Pitch veteran Job Jobse, Italian acid techno duo 999999999, Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann and club and fashion trailblazer VTSS.
Alongside offering everything you know and love about the festival, this year Pitch will also be hosting the Lapee, the groundbreaking urinal designed for women – perfect timing for International Women’s Day on Friday.

Sporting a vibrant pink hue and reshaping the festival landscape, championing inclusivity and safety for all attendees, Lapee symbolises gender inclusion at international festivals and outdoor events, providing a solution to the longstanding challenge of sanitation access for women. If you’ve ever attended a festival, you’ll resonate with the pain of standing in a long weaving line while listening to your favourite band play in the distance.
“We’re thrilled to be part of the Pitch Music & Arts Festival, especially as it coincides with International Women’s Day on March 8th. This emphasises our commitment to promoting gender inclusion and ensuring a positive festival experience for everyone,” said a spokesperson for Lapee.
Beyond mere convenience, Lapee addresses safety concerns. Lengthy toilet queues can leave women vulnerable to harassment, dehydration, and health hazards when resorting to alternative options, detracting from their festival enjoyment. Lapee aims to rewrite this narrative by offering a swift, hygienic, and empowering solution for women and genderqueer individuals who squat to urinate.
Already met with resounding success in Australia, Lapee made waves at the recent Beyond The Valley Music Festival. PJ Event Hire reported, “The users thought they were fantastic, and thousands used them. The traditional toilets simply would not have coped with the numbers that went through the Lapee. We now have more Lapee ready for the upcoming festivals and also have more on order. They are a game changer!”
However, Lapee’s impact extends beyond convenience and safety; it’s also about sustainability. Crafted from durable, recyclable materials and requiring no water, Lapee minimises environmental footprint. Its stackable design further reduces carbon emissions during transportation, aligning with the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
Lapee serves as a urinal for women and gender-nonconforming individuals who squat to urinate. It offers a quick, safe, and hygienic solution at events and festivals.
