Spiritbox, Megadeth, Bad Omens and more will perform headline sideshows across Australia.
Knotfest, Slipknot’s heavy metal super festival, is heading to Australia for the first time this year, taking on Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in March. Having already sold out Melbourne’s event in record time, Slipknot‘s festival has now announced some huge sideshows to accompany the festival’s debut.
Featuring some of the greatest acts from the music and counterculture experience, the likes of Megadeth, Trivium, Bad Omens, Knocked Loose, Story of the Year, Spiritbox and Amon Amarth have all announced headline sideshows for 2023.

Slipknot, Parkway Drive and Megadeth lead the inaugural Knotfest Australia 2023
Megadeth will make their way to Australia for their first shows since 2015, with headline dates in Adelaide and Melbourne. Joined by special guests In Flames, they’ll hit up Adelaide’s Entertainment Centre Theatre on Tuesday, March 21st and Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Wednesday, March 22nd.
Amon Amarth and Trivium will team up for co-headline gigs in Melbourne and Brisbane, with Malevolence on support. They’ll perform at Melbourne’s Forum on Thursday, March 23rd and Brisbane’s Eatons Hill Hotel on Tuesday, March 28th.
Spiritbox will play their first-ever Australian headline show in Melbourne on Tuesday, 21st March, with support from Make Them Suffer and Reliqa, while Bad Omens will play sideshows in Brisbane and Sydney.
Knocked Loose will perform a pair of headline dates in Melbourne and Brisbane, on Thursday, 23rd March and Monday, 27th March, respectively, while Story of the Year will play a trio of headline shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
Organisers have said this will be the one and only sideshow announcement for Knotfest, with no more sideshows to be announced, so run, don’t walk.
