Bringing a touch of Germany to the southwest, the beloved Oktoberfest Warrnambool will return to Shipwreck Bay Holiday Park on Saturday, February 18, transforming the site into a little pocket of German culture and celebration.
Pulling out all the stops to provide us with an unforgettable final German experience in the ‘bool, the event will kick off at 2pm with local acoustic favourites Jesse Rudman & The TJ Show and followed by a very special guest for the main stage entertainment. If live music isn’t your thing, the DJ stage with some of Australia’s finest DJs including Rockafellas is the spot for you, or head on over to the huge silent disco and flick through three channels of music programmed by local resident DJs.
With a free stein on entry, all beer will be nothing but the best, directly imported from Germany’s Munich Oktoberfest. Though, if beer isn’t for you there will be a range of canned drinks available to keep you hydrated well throughout the day. The summer edition will see the introduction of a new and improved drink token system, which will mean less waiting in line for you and more time to enjoy your German brews!
As well as the booze-laden festivities, punters will also get to experience some of the great tastes of Germany including everyone’s favourite pretzels by Bretzel Biz and delightful Bratwurst from the legends at Bavarian Bangers.
So, fetch your finest Dirndl, dust off those Lederhosen’s and suit up in your finest German attire to enjoy a taste of Munich Germany in the serene coastal destination of Warrnambool for this entirely unique summer event.
