Brian El Dorado and the Tuesday People: Wildfire

When Melbourne’s man-about- town Brian El Dorado and his band of musical
mavericks, known as the Tuesday People, began working on the follow-up to their funky fresh debut album Eclectic, friends and fans of the talented songwriter and musicians knew we would be in for a treat. What we did not expect is the sizzling hot tamale that is Wildfire.

El Dorado offers the listener pure escapism within the 11 tracks. Wildfire kicks off with ‘Feel So Fine’ and an undeniable essence of George Clinton’s Parliament-Funkadelic.

Adam Rudegeair’s electric organ solo on ‘Halloween’ is worth the album price alone, while the 70’s inspired beats on ‘In the Summertime’ will have you dreaming of the discothèque.

The music mellows on ‘Midnight Girl’ as El Dorado’s self-honed songwriting ability shines through. Lachine Mowat brings back the blues on ‘Too Much Love’, and ‘Nearly Let It All Go’ showcases the consummate skills of lead guitarist Kumar Shone.

With Jamie Stroud on bass, drummer Sean Newell and Anthony Foon on trumpet,
Brian El Dorado and the Tuesday People are a pack of swinging cats with style and swagger, and Wildfire  will be a scorching summer soundtrack.
