Woolworths have announced its partnership with Uber this week to meet unprecedented demand for home deliveries.
The new delivery option will cost shoppers the same as regular home delivery with the supermarket, which relaunched last week after several weeks offline.
We're excited to be teaming up with @Uber to offer thousands more home delivery windows for our customers each week.

The new service provided by Uber will begin at three Townsville-based Woolworths stores before the giant grocery expands it to more cities in “the coming weeks”.
“The demand for our home delivery service has grown at an unprecedented rate across Australia in recent months,” Woolworths director of e-commerce, Annette Karantoni said.
“As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, it’s vital we keep scaling our delivery capacity to meet the essential needs of our communities.
“We see partnerships as an integral part of this effort, and are delighted to team up with Uber to bring the convenience of grocery delivery to even more Australians.”
Orders can be placed as usual, but they’ll be capped at 40 items.
It’s claimed that personal shoppers will then handpick the order at the supermarket, before handing it off to an Uber driver to be delivered the next day.
Keep your eyes on this, we’ll update more as it develops.
