As precautionary measures against the spread of COVID-19, Deliveroo has launched a contact-free option for their food delivery service.
While the Australian Government Department of Health has stated that it is very unlikely that COVID-19 can be spread through food, Deliveroo have put their customer’s safety first with these additional precautions to help keep everyone using the platform – riders, restaurants and customers – safe during this time.
The new contact-free delivery option can be selected via the app, and will mean riders will leave food at customer’s doors, rather than handing it over.
Riders will also have the ability to choose to make an order contact-free if they wish and will contact you through the app if they do.
