Over the last few years, the Little Malop precinct has gained notoriety in Geelong for becoming something of a mini Melbourne with its sneaky laneway restaurants, trendy cafes, stylish bars and all kinds of odd little miscellaneous stores sprinkled in between.
With the government enforcing strict social distancing, isolation and restrictions on unnecessary travel in a bid to slow the spread of COVID-19, this blossoming precinct has felt the effects of the decline in foot traffic and the inability to operate as a destination. Not only are business owners worried about the future of their establishments, but the servers, bartenders, and cooks are also worried about how they will pay bills for the next few weeks, with many businesses within the precinct temporarily closing up to reassess their business plan.
Luckily, it’s not all doom and gloom. Businesses within the precinct are now responding to the Covid-19 threat by adding take-out and/or delivery to their repertoires via the Little Malop Hub.
Acting as a nerve centre, the website features a list of the laneway’s participating restaurants with the promise of a low delivery fee.

There’s even some boozy options if that’s what your heart desires including Blackman’s Brewery and Geelong Cellar Door.
All restaurants listed on the site provide pickup and/or delivery via a secure gateway payment service.
