The Great Australian Warehouse Sale is this weekend

Are you an avid vinyl collector, looking for something new to fill that small space in between Joy Division and Judas Priest? Or just an old soul, searching for music you can actually hold in your hand?

Either way, you’re probably someone who looks forward to Record Store Day year after year – the annual celebration of the culture of the indie record store and the traditional music outlet.

Unfortunately due to you know what, Record Store Day has been postponed for 2020, but it looks like there’s still hope for getting some cheap wax next month!

Taking its place, comes the Great Australian Warehouse Sale, bringing a range of deals, discounts, offers and more on a huge range of vinyl, CDs, DVDs, cassettes and even books.

Brought to you by the brains behind Record Store Day, the two-day sale will see Universal Music, MGM Distribution, Inertia, Warner, Sony Music and Rocket Distribution emptying their warehouses at the lowest prices possible, which will be available exclusively through independent record stores.

As we’re all actively practising social-distancing at the moment, record companies will have lists of what they’ll be offering available for your perusal via the Great Australian Warehouse Sale website and you’ll be able to pre-order your purchases and then either have them posted or delivered to you or, if and where stores are open, drop by to pick them up in-store or kerbside).

It all goes down April 18 and 19. Make sure you keep tabs on the website and get your pre-orders done stat.
