The Bridge Hotel

For the humble town of Castlemaine, locals and tourists alike, The Bridge Hotel is one to check out. Cleverly merging a inviting design and playful bistro with the comfort of a traditional Victorian pub, The Bridge Hotel was given a new lease on life only just last year, after having its doors closed for months.

With a new slick of paint, a new bar and a few additional elements, the Bridge has been taken to a new level and should be on your visit list this winter, been referred to now as described as “Dukes of Hazard meets Melbourne”.

Well known for its live music on offer, the menu is just as enticing. Keeping the classic pub dishes, the seasonal and organic menu features an extensive list of moreish grazing items, salads, seasonal mains and traditional counter meals. Monday night is pasta night so there’s plenty of carbs to keep you warm, and they also have specials as well to keep it even more interesting.

Drink wise, The Bridge has you set for the cold with a big spicy shiraz, mulled wine, warmed cider, rums and single malt whiskey’s. They’ve also got a killer winter cocktail list featuring a very delectable salted caramel espresso martini which is a must try.

The food and drink won’t be the only thing warming your insides either. Snuggle up in front of the open fire with one of the pubs three pub cats – big, beautiful and fluffy, you just won’t want to leave.

Rock ‘n’ roll with just a touch of fancy, The Bridge Hotel is your winter treat.
