Belmont’s That Place Patisserie are making Sticky Date Croissants and we are not okay

We’ve always had a soft spot for Belmont’s That Place Patisserie with their French-trained pastry chef and rustic house-made treats.

Known for making some of best damn buttery, flaky pastries around Geelong, this sweet little bakery/cafe have upped the ante and have introduced a twist to their croissant, the long-standing, melt-in-your-mouth French staple.

Please welcome, the Sticky Date Croissant.

There aren’t too many desserts that have a strong unified following like the sticky date has – that sweet butterscotch sauce, lashings of ice cream and heavy spoonfuls of yummy rich pudding. Take out the pudding, and replace it was a croissant and that’s what you will find at That Place Patisserie.

Wash it down with a cup of coffee and you’ve got yourself a fantastic afternoon (or morning, or night) treat.

They’re hitting the counter this weekend, from 9am each day. Quantities will be limited, so be there early if you don’t want to miss out.

You can find the cafe at 110b Mt Pleasant Rd, Belmont.
