Relive Powderfinger’s live-streamed reunion charity gig

After a ten year hiatus, Aussie rock legends Powderfinger reunited for an exclusive performance, live-streamed from their respective homes on Saturday night.

Dubbed ‘One Night Lonely’, the performance streamed via the band’s YouTube channel, which saw tens of thousands of fans tuck in for an evening of their hits including ‘My Happiness’, ‘These Days’, ‘Sunsets’, ‘On My Mind’ and loads more.

Breaking a decade-long hiatus, the occasion raised money for Beyond Blue and Support Act; two essential services in the current climate.

“The five of us have been meeting regularly over the past few months to organise some Odyssey Number Five anniversary releases. The idea came up of playing together again in this unusual format which we all thought would be fun,” said the band in a statement prior to the performance.

“The past few months has been a very strange time for us all and difficult days for many. We really just want to bring a smile to some people’s faces and along the way raise some funds to help our music industry mates and people who are currently experiencing mental health issues,” they said.
